Project Overview
Develop children’s knowledge of the Norman invasion and settlement with 1066, our pre-planned and comprehensively resourced history project. Our high-quality teaching materials help children learn about the Battle of Hastings, key dates and events, Norman culture, the feudal system and the Doomsday Book.
It is built upon our four-stage primary focused pedagogy – Engage, Develop, Innovate, Express – to get your children curious about the project ahead, develop and then use new skills and knowledge, before finally allowing them to express their thoughts, ideas and reflections on what they have learnt.
