This companion project teaches children about processed food and healthy food choices. They make bread and pasta sauces and learn about the benefits of whole foods. They plan and make meals as part of a healthy daily menu, and evaluate their completed products.
This project is part of the Cornerstones Curriculum which is available through an annual licence for Curriculum Maestro.
It is a companion project to the history project Maafa.
We chose Cornerstones because we wanted a high-quality curriculum for our children. We wanted full coverage and to make sure that it was well connected, not through ad hoc links, but really meaningful ones.
