Food and the Digestive System

Project overview

This project teaches children about the human digestive system. They explore the main parts, starting with the mouth and teeth, identifying teeth types and their functions. They link this learning to animals’ diets and construct food chains to show the flow of energy.

It is built upon our four-stage primary focused pedagogy โ€“ Engage, Develop, Innovate, Express โ€“ to get your children curious about the project ahead, develop and then use new skills and knowledge, before finally allowing them to express their thoughts, ideas and reflections on what they have learnt.

*This project is part of the Cornerstones Science Curriculum and is not sold separately.
