This knowledge-rich project teaches children about the physical and human features of coastal regions across the United Kingdom, including a detailed exploration of the coastal town of Whitby, in Yorkshire.
This project is part of the Cornerstones Curriculum which is available through an annual licence for Curriculum Maestro.
It has companion projects: Beach Hut(Design and technology), Flower Head (Art and design)[coming soon], Plants (Science)[coming soon] and Uses of everyday materials (Science)[coming soon].
It’s about giving children real experiences and preparing them for life. Before Cornerstones, the children were disengaged and not interested in learning. Now they love it and are engrossed in their lessons.
