All eligible children in maintained and specialist schools, academies and free schools are required to take key stage 1 and key stage 2 national curriculum tests. You can start preparing and set your baseline judgements now with Cornerstones Maths Tests. The tests are written by real teachers and shaped by in-school testing.
Our Arithmetic and Number Progress Tests have been developed to support formative assessment across years 1 to 6. You can quickly and easily check progress with seven tests per year group, covering number, calculations, fractions, decimals and percentages. They are designed to be used flexibly throughout the year. We have also created a set of higher order Arithmetic and Number Progress Tests to help you assess and challenge high-achieving children, exceeding Y6 expectations.
Mirroring the style of the SAT papers 1, 2 and 3, this set provides everything you need to prepare your children for the end-of-key-stage statutory tests. Our Summative Tests support end of term summative assessment across years 1 to 6. You can use the tests to identify children’s individual needs and track their progress towards the programmes of study at termly intervals during the year. Paper 1 is designed to assess a child’s knowledge, understanding and application of mental maths. Papers 2 and 3 enable children to demonstrate mathematical fluency, problem-solving and reasoning. The Summative Tests cover number, ratio and proportion, algebra, measurement, geometry and statistics using a broad balance of tasks. Includes raw score to standardised score conversions.
Our electronic Attainment and Gap Analysis Tool will give you individual analysis for every test, showing you the areas where children are thriving and where more support is required in line with the national curriculum expectations.
The tests are made up of a broad balance of questions, providing suitable challenge whilst maintaining your children's self-esteem and confidence. You can create a baseline assessment and see progress quickly and easily, not only across a class but across the whole school.
