Everyday Materials

Project overview

This project teaches children that objects are made from materials. They identify a range of everyday materials and their sources. Children investigate the properties of materials and begin to recognise that a material’s properties defines its use.

It is built upon our four-stage primary focused pedagogy โ€“ Engage, Develop, Innovate, Express โ€“ to get your children curious about the project ahead, develop and then use new skills and knowledge, before finally allowing them to express their thoughts, ideas and reflections on what they have learnt.

*This project is part of the Cornerstones Science Curriculum and is not sold separately.
