Land Ahoy!

Project overview

Develop children’s knowledge of the sea, seafaring and pirates with our pre-planned and comprehensively resourced geography project, Land Ahoy! Our high-quality teaching resources help Year 2 children use maps, learn about famous pirates and explorers and find out about life at sea.

It is built upon our four-stage primary focused pedagogyEngage, Develop, Innovate, Express – to get your children curious about the project ahead, develop and then use new skills and knowledge, before finally allowing them to express their thoughts, ideas and reflections on what they have learnt.
