Forces and Mechanisms

Project overview

This project* teaches children about the forces of gravity, air resistance, water resistance and friction, with children exploring their effects. They learn about mechanisms, their uses and how they allow a smaller effort to have a greater effect.

It is built upon our four-stage primary focused pedagogy โ€“ Engage, Develop, Innovate, Express โ€“ to get your children curious about the project ahead, develop and then use new skills and knowledge, before finally allowing them to express their thoughts, ideas and reflections on what they have learnt.

*This project is part of the Cornerstones Science Curriculum and is not sold separately.
