NC topics: First World War; History beyond 1066

Develop children’s knowledge of the causes and effects of the First World War with our pre-planned and fully resourced special history project, Fallen Fields. This Year 5/6 project teaches children about significant battles, people and the impact of this devastating war.

Firedamp and Davy Lamps

NC topics: The Industrial Revolution; History beyond 1066

Develop children’s knowledge of the coal mining industry with our pre-planned, fully resourced Year 5/6 project, Fire Damp and Davy Lamps. It teaches children about the history of coal mining, the impact of industrial action and the legacy and future of coal mining in the UK.
