Curriculum
05th November 2019
Cornerstones are excited to launch our new events held in venues around the coast.
Each half-day event is FREE and includes lunch and refreshments.
How to design your primary curriculum is for primary headteachers, senior leaders and subject leaders at any stage of curriculum development, who want to learn the essential steps to designing an outstanding curriculum.
The half-day events are ideal for those who are ‘Cornerstones-curious’ or want to build or refine their curriculum to meet the new Ofsted requirements. (If you currently use Cornerstones, you’ll already have the foundations, tools and materials to help you design a successful curriculum and can access our support anytime).

Each half-day event will take you through the essential steps of curriculum development from intent, implementation to impact, helping you:
Whatever stage you are on your curriculum development journey, attending the event will help you refine your approach. Throughout the session, there will be opportunities to reflect on your school’s curriculum and hear from schools who are developing successful curricula in the region.
This summer, our Curriculum Evolution events filled up fast, so we strongly advise you to book your place early to avoid disappointment.
Don’t just take our word for it. Here are some of the kind comments from senior leaders who attended our recent curriculum events:
We’re thrilled to announce that our keynote speaker for each event will be Jonathan Lear @GuerrillaEd. Currently a primary deputy headteacher, Jonathan is an inspirational leader, award-winning teacher, speaker, education consultant and author. And, if you’ve read his books or heard him speak, you’ll know you’ll be in for a thought-provoking treat.

We want to share the fantastic curriculum work that schools are doing, alongside our own and Jonathan’s curriculum design expertise, to a wider audience.
However, we’re aware that educational events and conferences are often held in major inland cities and are not always practical to reach for school staff in coastal and rural areas.
Many coastal primary schools are offering vibrant, well-developed curricula that inspire children to learn and are having a positive effect on their communities and we want to celebrate and acknowledge this. Your school, your curriculum.
Over the past 10 years, we’ve been lucky enough to get to know over 2000 schools who are providing fantastic education for the children in their communities. We work with schools of all types and sizes in urban, rural and coastal locations. What we’ve learnt during our 10+ years in curriculum development is that every school is unique and each brings the Cornerstones Curriculum to life in a different way.
We look forward to meeting you at the events!
