Meet the Cornerstones team – Beth Carnall, Design Assistant

We think it’s time for you to meet the team here at Cornerstones, so in the second of our ‘Meet the Cornerstones team’ posts, we’d like to introduce you to Beth Carnall, Design Assistant.

Let me introduce myself

Meet the Cornerstones team - Beth

I joined the team at Cornerstones Education two years ago, while I completed the final year of my Graphic Design degree at Huddersfield University.

I've always had a keen eye for design and when I left school I knew it was what I wanted to do. I absolutely loved my degree and I feel especially lucky to have been given the opportunity to work here at Cornerstones while I was still a student.

Though working here during my final year was challenging, it was incredibly beneficial as I gained valuable experience of designing in the ‘real world'. Plus, I work with a variety of very different, very intelligent people so I'm learning new things and developing my skills all the time. It’s been brilliant!

I’m the Design Assistant assigned to the marketing team here at Cornerstones, which means I’m responsible for keeping the Cornerstones brand imaginative, consistent and engaging on all of our promotional materials, which include things like exhibition stands, leaflets and brochures. I also maintain the look of our online platforms such as our Twitter and Facebook pages. Each project I work on presents its own set of challenges but I relish the opportunity to test my design skills and I’m really proud of what I’ve achieved in my two years here.

I'm currently designing a logo for the recently launched Cornerstones Book club. I love seeing my designs in context – it’s a great feeling knowing that I created something from scratch – so I'm really excited to see the final version.
