Year 4 – Information sheet on animal digestive systems

As part of the Year 4 curriculum, children need to identify differences, similarities or changes related to simple scientific ideas and processes. This resource is ideal for helping children to identify key similarities and differences in the size and number of main digestive system organs between different animals and animals and humans.

Our free information sheet explains how a chicken’s digestive system works, and is linked to our Year 4 ILP, Burps, Bottoms and Bile. Children can use this and a range of non-fiction books to compare a chicken’s digestive system with those of other animals, including humans.

Information about a snake and cow’s digestive system is also available on The Hub.

Download your handy PDF version of the information sheet.
