Back by popular demand – Cornerstones returning to Swansea with free information sessions

The first ever Cornerstones Curriculum Conference was a fantastic day of talks, workshops and networking.

If you missed it though, don’t worry. Due to popular demand, we’re holding free information sessions on Friday 3rd February for all schools wanting to find out more about the Cornerstones Curriculum and how we can help you manage curriculum change from now until 2018.

Conference highlights

Held in Swansea on Friday 18th November, the Cornerstones Conference was an opportunity to hear more about how education in Wales is changing and to find out how we at Cornerstones can help with implementing those changes. Delegates found it to be a very useful and informative day, with feedback being overwhelmingly positive.

“Diolch, thank you for a well planned and delivered day. Excellent display of resources, helpful knowledgeable staff.”

“A very informative day – lots to think about. Really enjoyed.”

The success was thanks, in part, to our brilliant keynote speakers – former captain of the Welsh rugby team and patron of Wales Dyslexia, Scott Quinnell and headteachers Damien Beech and Tania Morgan – who ensured a great start to the conference.

The afternoon workshops covered a number of areas, from Welsh History and Culture to RE, and all workshop sessions proved to be incredibly insightful and very popular with delegates. And it was great to see our marketplace so busy too, with delegates from 66 schools in attendance on the day. Hearing how enthused teachers are about our products was also a real highlight.

“A really interesting and thought provoking set of workshops. The RE workshop in particular was excellent”

“Good to see the full range of products and talk to the teachers/consultants involved in producing the products. Good update of the Hub.”

A prize draw held on the day also raised £80 for Wales Dyslexia, with raffle prizes including a hamper from Marks and Spencers, a Cornerstones Christmas book pack and candles donated by the Quinnell Candle Company.

Free training

Due to the huge success of the day, and because interest was so high, we’ll be returning to Swansea on Friday 3rd February to hold two additional information and training sessions.
Both sessions are absolutely free, with each session including lunch and an opportunity to view our extensive range of products in the Marketplace.
