Don’t forget to return your Cornerstones Test data!

Thank you

Thank you for returning your spring term test data back in March. Each term your test results contribute to our national comparison information. We really appreciate your support.

Summer term test results

Once your summer term summative assessments have taken place, the moderation and evaluation of your results is key to preparing for transition from one year group to the next and moving children forward.

  • Are the results a true reflection of where the children are?
  • Are the results comparable nationally with other schools using the Cornerstones Summative Tests?
  • Where are the gaps?
  • What are we doing to close them and is it having an impact?

For schools using Cornerstones Maths, SPaG and/or Reading Tests, we can provide help in answering these questions.

Once enough schools have returned the data from their Cornerstones Maths, SPaG and/or Reading Tests, we can collate the results and ratify the information in our conversion tables. We are also able to produce personalised comparison graphs for your school, which will enable you to compare how well your children have performed on the summative tests, alongside children of the same age using Cornerstones assessment materials, across the country.

Deadline date

Please ensure you send us your test results by Friday 30th June. By doing so, this will provide us with enough time to collate the data returned and get your personalised Assessment Overviews to you before the summer holidays.

Please note

In order to ensure our conversion tables and comparison graphs are statistically viable, we require your data.

As soon as you have the test results from your summer term Summative Maths, SPaG and/or Reading Tests, please follow the instructions on the test results tab in your Attainment and Gap Analysis Tool to contribute to our data analysis.

Please ensure you provide us with your children’s test results across all three Summative Maths Tests; Papers 1, 2 and 3 and/or both SPaG Tests; Grammar, punctuation and vocabulary and Spelling. Any incomplete data would mean that we are unable to provide you with a personalised Assessment Overview for your school.

If you are short of time, we still need your data. You can, as an alternative, send us a list of your children’s scores across the Summative Maths Tests – Papers 1, 2 and 3; SPaG Tests – Grammar, punctuation and vocabulary and Spelling and/or Reading Tests.  If you do this, please remember to tell us your school’s name and the year group tested. An example list is shown below.

A few important reminders

Electronic versions

All of our Cornerstones Test materials are available electronically, on The Hub.

Please download the documents to ensure you are using the most up-to-date versions.

A point to note

You do not need to return any data to us after administering the Arithmetic and Number Progress Tests with your children. We only require data from the Cornerstones Summative Maths Tests. On each analysis spreadsheet in your Arithmetic and Number Progress Tests Attainment and Gap Analysis Tool, there is an attainment table. You can use the attainment table and your knowledge of the children to support you when making judgements on each child’s age-related attainment.
