Celebrate Science Week with our free lesson plans and challenges!

British Science Week is just around the corner, with this year’s celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) taking place from 11-20 March. People of all ages will be organising and taking part in events across the UK, so to help you get involved, we’ll be producing free, daily lesson plans and challenges for simple, no-fuss, super science!

Free no-fuss lesson plans

Our easy-to-follow lesson plans will feature ideas for a ‘wow’ teacher demonstration and simple follow-up ideas for science investigations. The lesson plans will be available every day in the run up to Science Week, from 7-11 March, and will feature titles such as ‘Bubble Bangs’, ‘Milk Shapes’ and ‘Floating Flowers’.

Download them from The Hub or from the Science Week page on our website.

Simple snappy science challenges

Our easy-prep science challenges feature open-ended ideas for any age group. Designed to get children out and about and hands-on, the challenges will include titles such as ‘Find a Bug’ and ‘Ice Race!’

These simple snappy science challenges will be available to download from our website and The Hub every day during Science Week. We'll also be putting the challenges on social media so make sure you check Twitter and Facebook from 14-18 March. Follow us @Cornerstonesedu, find us on Facebook and show off your school’s science by sharing your pictures with us.
